Winter Skincare Essentials

Hey guys!
The weather where I live has been extremely dry lately. When the weather gets super dry, it's only a matter of minutes before I am dehydrated and need some moisturizing. Here are my "must haves" for the dry winter- or any dry season.

Lips:
I don't know about you, but my lips are often the fist part of my body that get dried out. For years, I have relied on Burt's Bees Lip Balm to revive my lips and prevent drying. Seriously guys, I apply this lip balm at least three times a day. I go through about one "stick" a month! The peppermint causes a cooling feeling to inflamed, dry lips and quickly restores them to health. They also have colored lip products, but I prefer to use the original formula and I apply before applying any other lip product- it also serves as a great base to put lip products on! I could go on and on, so if you haven't tried it yet, try it now!

Face:
For the rest of my face, I use Clinique's Even Better Moisturizer. I have a whole blog post professing my love for this product, but I'll reiterate some of my favorite things about it. One of my favorite things about it is that it is extremely hydrating, but also gentile. My skin sometimes becomes red and dry from my acne medication, and when that happens many moisturizers cause it to sting and burn. This moisturizer is the only one I've tried that does not do that. It also has no perfume, which I love because it does not interfere with other scents I wear and on days where I am feeling sensitive to scents I don't have to worry about putting anything "perfume-y" on my face. It's a little pricey, but I get about three months worth out of the jar and I think it's more than worth the price.

Hands:
I had not been a hand cream person until last winter when I got a sample of this hand cream, and I'll never be able to brave the winter without it again. This is the original version of the L'Occitane hand cream- or should I say hand dream! When my lands begin to get chapped and my cuticules need some TLC, I whip this baby out! Just a pea size and my hands are restored to being soft and comfortable and with no sticky residue. Regular lotion just does not yield the same results. I love it!

Body:
As for the rest of my body, I had usually used a plethora of lotions from various companies from the drugstore. Unfortunately, none of them stood out to me as spectacular and many left a waxy residue that was less than desirable. Another unfortunate fact is that my skin dries out very easily and quite often. This lotion makes my skin feel hydrated all day without any residue. I love Philosophy and their Pure Grace scent is wonderfully understated. I also love the fact that I can wear this lotion and pair it seamlessly with the deodorant I wear- also Pure Grace by Philosophy. It's really a must try!

I hope you are all having a great year so far, and I can't wait to share more with you! Thank you so much for reading and supporting!
xoxo,
Riann

During winter for my body the best is The Body Shop Butter.
I'm thinking about buying something from L'Occitane :)
