Before my summer holiday a few weeks ago, I was waiting to have some items hemmed in Nordstrom and fell in love with the bags on display. There were a few that caught my eye and I realized that all of them were from the brand Staud.
Staud had the slightly familiar ring of a brand I might have seen tagged on Instagram however, it didn't register in my conscious mind until I was standing there, beautiful craftsmanship in my own two hands.
What blew me away the most was the reasonable price point. Each bag I looked at that day was under $500. I'd love to share some of them with you.

This bag is fun without being kitsch. I'm not above admitting to you that part of the appeal of this bag is that the accordion shape reminds me of paper lanterns, but it is still serious enough to say "I'm a lady and this is my killer handbag". Made of brown leather and suede, it's still subtle enough for minimalist fashionistas. I keep thinking about how I want this bag!

Since that fateful day, I have seen this bag on some of my favorite media outlets and bloggers. It's gained so much popularity that it is sold out in half of the available colors on the Staud website. It screams "it" bag - and it is under $400, so you can buy one for your mom too. it's sleek, simple, has just a pinch of early 00s nostalgia, and it's 100% perfect.

This is a fun bucket. A joyous pail. I want to strap this bag around my waist for easy access to my lipstick, wallet, and sunglasses. It has a drawstring closure on the top so your precious Dior Lipglow won't go flying out as you power walk to the metro. It's got clean curves and a cross-body strap for maximum enjoyment. Also at Nordstrom, it is on sale!
Needless to say, this brand is on my radar and will probably make a sale to me in the very near future.
